Job Description

A Graduate Engineering Trainee (GET) in Sales is an intermediate level role connecting engineering/technical knowledge and commercial activities at customer end.
The position is designed to groom fresh engineering graduates into competent technical sales or business development professionals.

What you´ll do

  • Develop in‑depth understanding of company products, systems, specifications, applications, advantages, and limitations.
  • Support technical product demonstrations, presentations, and solution discussions with customers.
  • Assist in pre‑sales activities by understanding customer requirements and project needs.
  • Help prepare techno‑commercial offers, quotations, tenders, and RFQ documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams such as engineering, design, production, and logistics for project execution.
  • Engage with customers for inquiries, follow‑ups, clarifications, negotiation support, and after‑sales coordination.
  • Collect and analyze market intelligence, competitor data, sales performance, MIS reports, and forecasts to support business decisions.

What makes you a good fit

  • Should posses degree in Bachelor of Engineering Mechanical or core branch
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in Industrial Sales
  • Technical & Academic Skills -Strong understanding of core engineering subjects (as per specialization) with the ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical datasheets.
  • Problem‑Solving & Analytical Skills- Logical thinking ability, structured problem analysis, and basic numerical and data interpretation skills.
  • Communication Skills- Clear verbal communication with seniors, peers, and operators; basic technical writing skills for emails, reports, and documentation; ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Attitude & Learning Mindset- Willingness to learn, observe, and ask questions; openness to feedback; positive attitude toward shop‑floor or field work; adaptability to new roles, locations, and challenges; discipline and professionalism.
  • Teamwork & Interpersonal Skills- Ability to work collaboratively in teams, follow instructions, and maintain professional working relationships.
  • Digital & Basic Business Skills- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting, documentation, and presentations.
