Job Description
HSBC is hiring a Data Analyst for a one-year apprenticeship role focused on supporting marketing and customer engagement through data analysis, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration within the Branch and Retail Banking department.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Analytics: Support the design, execution, and evaluation of marketing and customer engagement campaigns.
- Data Collection & Preparation: Gather and prepare data from CRM and digital platforms for analysis.
- Performance Reporting: Maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Looker.
- Insights Generation: Translate data into actionable insights to support business optimization.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product, and business teams to drive data-informed decisions.
- Documentation: Maintain clear records of processes and methodologies.
Requirements / Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Learning agility, growth mindset, and curiosity about emerging technologies.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis tools preferred: GCP Big Query, Python, Looker, Power BI, SQL (not mandatory).
- Demonstrated achievement through academic projects, internships, hackathons, or relevant coursework.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or final year student) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
