THE OPPORTUNITY
An apprenticeship opportunity titled “Software Engineering Graduate” has just opened at Airbus India Private Limited, located in Bangalore. You will join the “Engineering & PLM” department, which is responsible for building next-generation solutions to help engineering customers.
This is a 12-month program and it should start in June 2026 (date subject to flexibility). This apprenticeship is exclusively for fresh graduates with zero prior full-time professional work experience (internships and academic projects are welcome).
ROLES AVAILABLE
Apprentices can follow one of two paths:
• Software Engineer: Focuses on assembling/editing source code, fixing defects, migrating applications, and developing design specifications.
• Business Analyst: Focuses on functional/process expertise for PLM applications, lifecycle management support, process optimization, and incident/problem management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Software Engineer Role:
• Assemble and edit source code repositories to develop a software stack for product needs.
• Develop solutions to fix defects and address new requirements.
• Migrate applications to new tools as needed.
• Ensure compliance with solution standards, environment structures, and architectural blueprints.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in software development.
• Work on upskilling with different technology bricks supported by your tutor.
Business Analyst Role:
• Provide functional/process expertise for PLM applications.
• Manage lifecycle support including requirements, documentation, integration, testing, and acceptance.
• Optimize processes and tools (Agile, Scrum, SAFe) tailored to project complexity.
• Troubleshoot incidents, collaborate with IT teams to minimize downtime.
• Manage Functional Support within SLAs/OLAs.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
• Fresh Graduate (Technical Undergraduate or Postgraduate) from the year 2025 or 2026.
• Zero prior full-time professional work experience required (internships and academic projects are excluded from this restriction and are welcome).
• Ability to commit to the full 12-month duration of the apprenticeship.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
Software Engineer Track:
• Languages/Tools: Python, Angular, REST APIs, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
• Cloud/Infrastructure: AWS, OpenShift.
• Methodology: Responsive Web Design, Single Page Application design, asynchronous programming.
• Version Control: Git.
• Knowledge of web development technologies such as Angular, React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
Business Analyst Track:
• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) domain knowledge.
• Systems integration, Incident/Problem/Escalation Management.
• Understanding of SLA, OLA, and KPI objectives.
SOFT SKILLS
• Team spirit, proactive nature, and autonomy.
• Growth mindset and good documentation skills.
• Proficiency in English.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and interpersonal skills.
QUALIFICATION
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, React, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Linux, Unix, and scripting.
