Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join the Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team to support intelligent automation initiatives powered by Workato Agentic AI. This role focuses on designing and implementing AI-driven agents that autonomously orchestrate workflows, make contextual decisions, and streamline enterprise processes across business systems. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience building AI-powered automation solutions that combine large language models (LLMs), APIs, and enterprise integrations.

In this role, you will also be responsible to:

– Assist in building AI agents using the Workato Agentic AI platform.

– Support development of intelligent workflows that leverage LLMs for reasoning, summarization, classification, and decision-making.

– Configure integrations between enterprise systems (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, Slack, etc.) to enable agent-driven automation.

– Help test, validate, and optimize agent workflows for accuracy, performance, and reliability.

– Monitor agent performance and assist in troubleshooting integration or model-related issues.

– Stay updated on advancements in AI, LLMs, and automation technologies.

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

– Currently pursuing a degree as Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering

– Basic understanding of APIs, REST, webhooks, and SaaS platforms.

– Familiarity with JSON and data mapping concepts.

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have

– Experience with prompt engineering or working with LLM APIs.

– Basic scripting knowledge (JavaScript or Python).

– Understanding of automation patterns, RAG concepts, or event-driven architectures.

– Strong interest in AI agents, intelligent orchestration, and enterprise automation.
