The Impact You’ll Make
This role is part of the Aeroquip team within the Fluid Conveyance group at the Danfoss India Innovation Centre, Pune, reporting to the Engineering Manager, RHHF team.
As an Application Engineer, you’ll deliver customized hydraulic fluid conveyance solutions that support customer applications and enable efficient, reliable, and high-performance systems. You will help customers receive optimized hydraulic hose, hose fitting, and adapter solutions tailored to their technical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support customers by interpreting technical specifications and identifying suitable Fluid Conveyance products, including hydraulic hoses, hose fittings, and adapters
- Work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to develop customized configurations, resolve design-related challenges, and create CAD drawings
- Coordinate prototype development activities to ensure solutions meet customer expectations and engineering standards
- Use engineering, mathematical, and GD&T knowledge to support product modifications, tolerance analysis, engineering documentation, and database updates
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Marketing, and IT teams on product enhancements, ERP integration activities, and continuous process improvements
Requirements / Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering with 1–3 years of experience in product application engineering within the hydraulics or fluid conveyance domain
- Proficiency in NX and/or AutoCAD with hands-on experience in CAD modeling and engineering drawings
- Good understanding of engineering standards such as EN, SAE, ISO, GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and engineering documentation
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and global teams, along with strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong problem-solving mindset with knowledge of PLM systems, engineering change management, Lean/DMAIC concepts
