Kongu Engineering College Receives Certificate of Appreciation for Exceptional NCC Activities and Contributions to Community Development

Kongu Engineering College (KEC) in Perundurai, Tamilnadu recently received a Certificate of Appreciation from Deputy Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), Commodore Atul Kumar Rastogi. The certificate recognized the college’s exceptional efforts in organizing and facilitating NCC activities and their contributions to community development and social service.

The occasion was marked by the presence of several high-ranking NCC officials, including Group Commander Col BVS Shiva Rao, Camp Commandant Col Jai Deep, and Deputy Camp Commandant Lt Col M.S. Krishnamoorthy, who were all present to witness the state-level NCC-CATC cum sports shooting camp held at KEC.

The shooting competition was a highlight of the event, with teams from across Tamilnadu, Pondicherry, and Andaman Nicobar competing for the top prizes. The Kovai Group emerged victorious, taking home the winner trophy, while the Madurai group clinched the runner-up trophy. The chief guest, Commodore Atul Kumar Rastogi, distributed individual medals to the best shooters.

Aside from the shooting competition, the event also featured training programs, community development activities, and social service projects, all of which were recognized by the NCC. KEC has a long-standing tradition of promoting community development and social service initiatives, and the NCC has consistently recognized their contributions in this regard.

Thiru.A.K.Ilango, the Correspondent of KEC, and Dr.V.Balusamy, the Principal of KEC, received the Certificate of Appreciation from Commodore Atul Kumar Rastogi on behalf of the college.
