IITM Incubation Cell (IITMIC) has recently announced a new partnership with College of Engineering, Trivandrum (CET) and CET Alumni Association (Chennai chapter) to support the growth and development of innovative startups in India. As India’s leading deep-tech startup hub, IITMIC aims to leverage its extensive network, resources and expertise to provide entrepreneurs with the necessary support and guidance they need to succeed in today’s competitive market.

Through this partnership, IITMIC will work closely with CET and its alumni association to identify promising startups and provide them with access to a range of support services, including mentorship, networking opportunities, funding and more. IITMIC will offer co-incubation support to select CET incubatees to help them scale their ventures and make a national impact. In addition to providing co-incubation support, IITMIC will also collaborate with CET to establish a student-led ‘Build Club’. The Build Club will encourage students to develop their ideas and create innovative products by providing them with access to IITMIC’s resources and expertise. This initiative will foster a culture of building products among students and inspire them to become future entrepreneurs.

The 10X initiative is focused on accelerating incubation and strengthening India’s grassroots entrepreneurial ecosystem by identifying and incubating startups from partner institutes and incubators in Tier 2 and 3 cities.

Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwala, who serves as the President of IIT Madras Research Park, IITM Incubation Cell & RTBI, expressed his excitement for the partnership with College of Engineering, Trivandrum (CET), and CET Alumni Association (Chennai chapter) in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation among the youth of Kerala.

According to Prof. Jhunjhunwala, the youth of Kerala possess immense potential to become successful entrepreneurs, and this partnership is an opportunity to tap into this potential. The collaboration will enable IITM Incubation Cell to provide the necessary support and guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs from Kerala, particularly those from Tier 2 and 3 cities.

Prof. Jhunjhunwala is a prominent figure in India’s startup ecosystem and has played a key role in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in the country. His expertise and experience will be invaluable in guiding and mentoring startups incubated at CET. Suresh Babu, Principal, CET, explained, “The college had created multiple verticals like IEDC, TBI etc in the last few years, to drive the startup culture at CET, but clearly needed the best support system & expertise to accelerate the efforts. ”
