BIT Sindri in Jharkhand Secures AAA+ Rating Among India’s Elite Engineering Institutes

In a significant achievement, BIT Sindri, a government-owned engineering college in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, has been awarded the prestigious AAA+ rating by Careers 360 in 2023. This rating signifies its place among India’s elite engineering institutes. The rating bestowed upon BIT Sindri was a result of a thorough evaluation by Careers 360. They assessed various aspects such as the quality of students, faculty expertise, student engagement, infrastructure, graduate outcomes, placement records, diversity, and research contributions.

Prof (Dr) Ghanshyam, the chairman of Career Development Centre (CDC) at BIT Sindri, expressed his pride in receiving the Careers 360 certificate. This recognition marks a significant milestone for the institution.

Careers 360, a reputable Educational Products and Service Company, evaluates engineering institutes across India, focusing on aspects like research output and student placement.

BIT Sindri boasts impressive placement statistics. In the last placement session held from July to August, the campus witnessed 640 students being selected, with an additional 1000 students receiving multiple job offers. This success is attributed to the training provided, enabling students to meet the demands of various organizations.

Prof Ghanshyam anticipates even better placement results in the current session, thanks to the institution’s commitment to equipping students with the necessary skills sought by potential employers.

The role of key individuals in shaping BIT Sindri’s success is recognized. The former director, Dr. DK Singh (now Vice-Chancellor of Jharkhand University of Technology), and the present director, Dr. Pankaj Rai, are commended for their contributions in elevating BIT Sindri to a top-rated engineering institute.

In 2022, BIT Sindri secured the second position among engineering colleges in India according to a survey conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in New Delhi. College of Engineering Pune (Maharashtra) claimed the top position, and NMAM Institute of Technology, Karnataka, ranked third. BIT Sindri had 193 students with a 5+ star rating (students with more than 70% marks) as per the AICTE survey, reflecting its academic excellence.
