Former Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday suggested that the life of independence fighter Alluri Sitaramara Raju should be incorporated in academic curricula. Addressing a gathering of students at the 43rd anniversary celebrations of M.R.K.R. Engineering College here, Mr. Venkaiah Naidu called to students to take inspiration from Alluri’s life to fight against corruption. Earlier in the day, he paid floral homage to the monument of Alluri in Bhimavaram town. At the campus, he opened a ‘Idea Lab’ and commended the college’s efforts to give access to engineering education to rural students.
