BHUBANESWAR: In his speech, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stressed the importance of creating an inclusive environment in IITs, where discrimination of any kind should not be tolerated. The pressure to succeed and the fear of failure often lead to high levels of stress among students. Addressing this issue requires a fundamental shift in attitudes towards education and the recognition that success is not the only metric of achievement. The Council’s emphasis on reducing pressure and fostering a supportive environment is an important step towards creating a more holistic and nurturing educational experience for students.
