Teams hailing from diverse corners of India clinched victory at the esteemed Kavach-2023 Cybersecurity Hackathon. The LNCT University of Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering and Business Management situated in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, Bhilai Institute of Technology located in Durg, Chhattisgarh, and Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Management nestled in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu emerged triumphant, showcasing their exceptional cybersecurity prowess.
The culmination of the Kavach 2023 Cybersecurity Hackathon transpired at AMC Engineering College in Bengaluru, a pivotal nodal center in the southern expanse of India. The date etched in the annals of cybersecurity history was August 10. This valedictory event served as a momentous platform for participants to share their innovative solutions to the cybersecurity conundrums that loom large in today’s digital landscape.
The laurels of achievement were bestowed upon the winners by none other than Sunil Luthra, the esteemed Director of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). His presence and recognition added a layer of prestige to the occasion, validating the hard work and ingenuity demonstrated by the victorious participants.
The genesis of the National Cybersecurity Hackathon traces back to a collaborative endeavour initiated by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BRPD), and the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C). This visionary initiative, inaugurated in February 2023, was meticulously crafted to cultivate a deeper understanding among students regarding the multifaceted challenges that cybersecurity presents. Furthermore, it sought to empower these budding technocrats to devise effective solutions for the burgeoning cyber threats and crimes that cast a shadow over the populace of India.
