The concept of robots existed even before the word was invented, but literature alone is not enough for robots. Perhaps the best thing about them is that films can lend visual form to even the most advanced or even ridiculous of human technologies. Here we look at some of the top Hollywood robot movies:
WALL-E
WALL-E is a robot designed to work on a severely polluted Earth (this is an example for the human civilization!). Unfortunately, these “Waste Allocation Load-Lifter: Earth-Class” machines were not enough and mankind was eventually exiled to outer space. Alone in the entire world, WALL-E tries to find something or someone to keep him company. He might not be anything close to a human. He can barely utter two words but we find him cute when he holds hands with his robotic girlfriend and stares into her eyes.
M3gan
The plot of the film M3gan revolves around a toy creator who, as the ultimate toy, builds an android companion. However, M3GAN the doll tends to misinterpret her function and limits her shot at protecting her ward, and she ends up killing people. Greeting the doll turned out to be a delight for everyone, and it was only official in January 2023; thus there is going to be a continuation for this series.
The Terminator
As soon as the superintelligence network gains self-awareness. It instigates a global nuclear war for the purposes of complete annihilation of the human race. The T-800 is hell-bent on making such destruction a reality. Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn) attempts to save his assigned target from him. The Terminator is high-speed, action-oriented, and action-filled film. Undoubtedly one of the best films of the action genre during the late 20th century.
I am Mother
An experiment to breed and regenerate the population after an extinction event is set in a bunker. The narrative revolves around an android, called Mother, who is in charge of raising a little girl, Daughter, in an enclosed environment. When Daughter turns into a teenage girl, a strange visitor gets into the bunker. Thus, suggesting that Mother might not be who she claims to her daughter. The picture featured starring roles by actresses Clara Rugaard in the eponymous role, Hilary Swank, and Rose Byrne (voiceover). The film was well received owing to its interesting concept which is unique when compared to other films in the post-apocalyptic genre.
Transformers
The polished action-packed drama that is the Transformers movie manages to mock broad subtleties. It has astonishing fight with galactic cyborgs, irremediable computer-generated images, and military zeal. The fact that who would have ever fathomed a time where a great expense will be incurred to finance a film that is based on a toy mold of the 80s. This particular alien transforming toys with the concept of aliens who have come to earth and can transform into machines and vehicles. But somehow, Bay managed it.
In recent years, there has been a noticeable change in the approach to film narratives. They are technology based as the world embraces a futuristic outlook similar to what has been portrayed in many robot movies in the past. After watching the list of top Hollywood Robot Movies, we can conclude that. The technology boom and the Robots came together as one. So it is in the case of some contemporary films based on robots that the audience has watched for years.
