About the Internship
Qualcomm India is offering an Interim Engineering Internship – SW in Chennai for 2025 Master’s graduates. As an intern, you will work on cutting-edge software development for Qualcomm’s mobile chipsets, including areas like multimedia technologies, wireless modem technologies, Linux/Android platforms, IoT, and embedded systems. This role provides a hands-on opportunity to design and develop real-time embedded software, device drivers, and communication protocols while working alongside industry experts.
Skills Required
a) Mandatory:
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and object-oriented design.
- Understanding of OS concepts, data structures, and real-time embedded systems.
- Knowledge of Linux/UNIX, device drivers, and communication protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, SIP, RTP).
b) Good to Have:
- Experience with multimedia technologies like audio, video, and image processing.
- Knowledge of wireless network standards (CDMA, GSM, LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth).
- Exposure to kernel development, board support packages, or UI development.
