Punjab Engineering College (PEC) has recently announced the launch of three new undergraduate programs for the upcoming academic session of 2023-2024. These new programs are aimed at providing students with cutting-edge education and training in the fields of electronics engineering, VLSI design and technology, computer science and engineering, and artificial intelligence.
One of the new programs is the BTech in Electronics Engineering with a specialization in Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) Design and Technology. This program is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to design and develop complex electronic systems using VLSI technology. Another program that PEC is introducing is the BDesign program, which focuses on providing students with a comprehensive understanding of design principles and practices. This program aims to develop the creative and technical skills of students, enabling them to design and create innovative products and solutions.
Lastly, PEC is introducing the BTech in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence. This program aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to design and develop intelligent systems that can learn, reason, and make decisions.
Each of these new programs will have 30 seats, and students who are interested in pursuing a career in these fields can apply for admission to PEC. The launch of these new programs is a testament to PEC’s commitment to providing students with the best education and training possible, and preparing them for the challenges of the future.
Punjab Engineering College (PEC) has announced that admissions for the newly introduced courses will be conducted through different processes. Admission to the BTech courses in Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design and Technology) and Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) will be done through the joint seat allocation authority (JoSAA), alongside other BTech courses.
On the other hand, admission to the BDesign course will be based on the marks secured in National Level Entrance Examinations such as UCEED, NID DAT, JEE Main Paper 2, and NATA. The selection process for this program will be highly competitive, and only the best students will be able to secure admission.
PEC has also announced that there will be a total of 30 seats available for each of the new programs, with 15 seats reserved for students from Chandigarh region and the other 15 for applications from outside Chandigarh.
