About the Job
Rolls-Royce is seeking talented Component Design Engineers to shape the future of the Defence business in India. The role involves creating innovative designs for fans, compressors, combustors, turbines, and other components, ensuring they meet customer requirements.
Engineers will use tools like PLM, CAD (NX), and DFMEA to deliver world-class solutions while considering the entire product lifecycle. This position provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, work on cutting-edge projects, and contribute to the success of the Defence Combat strategy.
Skill(s) required
a) Mandatory
- Proficiency in 3D parametric modeling and tools like NX CAD.
- Strong understanding of Gas Turbine Engine design processes and methods.
- Experience with design validation and system-level thinking.
b) Good to Have
- Knowledge of Robust Design and Design for Manufacture (DfM).
- Familiarity with Systems Engineering principles and digital design tools.
- Practical experience with DFMEA and optimization processes.
Who can apply
- Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering. Other qualifications with relevant experience are also considered.

Other Requirements
- Proficiency in Gas Turbine Engine design processes, including systems-level thinking and an understanding of thermodynamic and aerodynamic principles.
- Expertise in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools and 3D parametric modeling with software like NX CAD.
- Familiarity with DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis) and Robust Design techniques to ensure high-quality and failure-resistant designs.
- Experience in Design for Manufacture (DfM) to create cost-effective and efficient solutions.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering philosophies, including requirements definition, validation, and verification processes.
