On February 28, SJEC will conduct National Science Day 2023 for students in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Feb 27: SJEC AICTE IDEA lab, in collaboration with the department of Mechanical Engineering, St Joseph Engineering College (An Autonomous Institution), Vamanjoor Mangaluru, is hosting National Science Day 2023 for school students from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on Tuesday 28 February 2023 in SJEC, Vamanjoor Mangaluru from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to commemorate the discovery of the Raman effect by the Indian Phys

A project display, quiz, tour to the SJEC AICTE IDEA Lab and other state-of-the-art facilities on campus, presentations by notable personalities, and other activities are planned for the day. The event aims to instill a scientific mindset in pupils and raise awareness about the relevance of science and technology.

The following are the specifics of the event:

  1. The National Science Day events at SJEC are only for students in grades 6 through 10 from different schools in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi District.
  2. The day-long festivities include motivating talks by well-known individuals, visits to SJEC student organisations and clubs, a quiz, and a project display / competition for school pupils.
  3. Students will get the chance to see the functioning of Advanced Fabrication equipment at SJEC AICTE IDEA Lab. Students will also see the campus’s other cutting-edge amenities.
  4. There is no event registration cost.
  5. The location will serve breakfast, lunch, and drinks.
  6. This event is limited to a maximum of ten students per school.
  7. Students from schools should be accompanied by a teacher.
  8. Each school should register their involvement using the form accessible at: https://bit.ly/NSD-SJEC.
    Spot registrations are not permitted.
  9. Quiz competition: Two teams of two students will compete in the quiz competition.
  10. Project competition: Students must present their projects on the day of the event. The maximum number of projects per school is two, with a team of no more than four people.
  11. All students must be at the location by 9 a.m.
