V.R. Siddhartha Engineering College will host its national-level techno culture festival, AFOSEC-2023, on February 24 and 25 and launched its brochure on Friday.
Vice-president of Siddhartha Academy and chairperson of the college M. Rajaiah stated that the purpose was to give a forum for students to strengthen their technical and cultural skills.
College principal A.V. Ratna Prasad indicated that renowned persons will attend the occasion. Nearly 6,000 students, including those from top universities like as IITs and NITs, were set to compete in events essentially divided into four — concept hackathon, drone competition, best out of trash and short films. It would also contain 45 additional technical events and 16 literary and cultural competitions. Cash rewards of ₹4 lakh will be handed to victors, he added.
AFOSEC convener P.V.R.L. Narasimham, deans, chairmen of several departments and event organisers were present.
