Navi Mumbai: Panvel’s Pillai College of Engineering Organises Lectures on ‘Technology for Future Cities

The Pillai College of Engineering (PCE), located in Panvel, is gearing up to host its highly anticipated “Technology for Future Cities” (CTFC) 2023 conference on October 6 and 7 in Panvel. This marks the third instalment of this visionary conference series organized by the esteemed institution.

Established in 1999, PCE has been a beacon of excellence in engineering education under the visionary leadership of Dr. KM Vasudevan Pillai. As an autonomous institution, PCE holds prestigious accreditation from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and proudly stands as the only NAAC A+ Graded Engineering College in the thriving region of Navi Mumbai, specifically in New Panvel.

“Technology for Future Cities” has emerged as the college’s flagship initiative, addressing the critical challenges and opportunities presented by urbanization. The inaugural conference in this series took place with resounding success on January 8 and 9, 2019. Building on that momentum, the second conference unfolded on October 8 and 9, 2021. Now, as we look ahead, the third edition is set to take place on October 6 and 7, 2023, promising to be yet another milestone event in advancing the discourse on the future of our cities.

The primary mission of this conference is to serve as a platform for the exchange of innovative technological solutions conceived by scientists and engineers to tackle the urban woes of our time. These encompass issues like disorganized traffic management, unregulated vehicular flow, subpar public transport systems, and the chronic shortage of clean water supply, as well as the pressing concerns of air and water pollution. In this pursuit, CTFC 2023 will encompass a rich tapestry of contributed research papers and engaging discussions.

With an anticipated attendance of approximately 100 delegates, the conference will feature around 50 captivating oral presentations and 15 illuminating poster presentations. Distinguished national speakers, revered for their expertise in various domains, will grace the event, offering insights into the next conference track for future cities at CTFC 2023. These tracks include software technology, hardware innovations, systemic approaches, policy interventions, breakthrough materials, advancements in healthcare and fitness, progressive governance models, and evolving paradigms in education. As a testament to the commitment of the organizers, selected research articles from the conference will find their way into esteemed UGC-approved journals known for their high impact factor, further contributing to the dissemination of valuable knowledge.
