Skill(s) required
- Mandatory: Knowledge of gearboxes, electric drives, and geometrical integration; proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA V5).
- Good to Have: Basic PLM knowledge, understanding of e-motor design, and serviceability concepts.
Who can apply
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, preferably with additional expertise in basic electronics and hybrid vehicle systems.
- Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
Other Requirements
- Strong knowledge of mechanical integration principles related to Hybrid and Electric vehicle systems, including packaging, weight targets, Center of Gravity (CoG), and material selection.
- Proficiency in creating mechanical schematics and layouts using section cuts, CAD data, and 3D PDFs.
- Ability to break down mechanical requirements into sub-project levels and ensure alignment with system architecture.
- Experience with design reviews and handling change management processes for mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with mechanical serviceability concepts and standard assembly processes for automotive systems.
- Understanding of non-functional requirements, interface constraints, and integration of building blocks into larger systems.
- Basic knowledge of thermal management and its impact on mechanical system design is desirable.
