FITT, which stands for Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer, is a leading technology transfer and innovation facilitation center located at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi). As part of its efforts to promote indigenous software development and facilitate its commercialization, FITT has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SVR InfoTech, an information technology firm based in Pune, India.

The MoU provides for the exclusive authorized sale and technology support for ‘MechAnalyzer,’ a software product developed in-house by IIT Delhi researchers. The software is designed to analyze mechanical systems and perform dynamic simulations to predict their behavior under various conditions. The product has potential applications in a variety of industries, including automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Professor S.K. Saha, the Dean of Corporate Relations at IIT Delhi, and was attended by senior officials from both FITT and SVR InfoTech. Dr. Anil Wali, the Managing Director of FITT, and Shri Viinod Atpadkar, the CEO of SVR InfoTech, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.

The MechAnalyzer (MA) software, developed by researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), is poised to revolutionize the way engineering college students learn about mechanisms and build suitable machines and robotic devices. These interns worked both in the Mechatronics Lab of IIT Delhi and virtually under the mentorship of Prof. S.K. Saha, a renowned professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at IIT Delhi, and Mr. Rajeevlochana Chittawadigi, a faculty member at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in Bengaluru.

The interns played a critical role in the development of the software, contributing their knowledge and expertise in areas like machine design, robotics, and software development. With their help, the team was able to create a software product that is both comprehensive and user-friendly, designed to help engineering students gain a deep understanding of complex mechanical systems.

Professor S.K.
