About the Job
Syngene is hiring an Instrumentation & Control Engineer to oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of critical safety and security systems such as ELVS, CCTV, EPABX, and access control systems. The role involves ensuring the operational efficiency of the building’s infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and lighting.
You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, conducting regular inspections, maintaining system records, and working with vendors for system upgrades and repairs. A key aspect of the role is ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations while providing technical support and training to staff.
Skill(s) required
a) Mandatory:
- Proven experience in handling ELVS, CCTV, EPABX, and access control systems.
- Strong technical knowledge in troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading these systems.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and standards related to infrastructure systems.
b) Good to Have:
- Technical certifications or training in safety systems, electronics, or related fields.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Other Requirements
Knowledge of PLCs and SCADA Systems: Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for automation and control in infrastructure management.
Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS): Understanding and experience in managing automated building systems, including HVAC, lighting, and fire alarms, integrated with safety infrastructure.
Knowledge of Safety Standards and Compliance: A deep understanding of international and local safety standards and regulations related to security and infrastructure systems, such as OSHA, ISO, and NFPA standards.
Proficiency with Diagnostic Tools: Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools for system monitoring and troubleshooting, such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and multimeters.
Network and Communication Protocols: Understanding of communication protocols such as RS485, Modbus, BACnet, and TCP/IP for networked control and monitoring systems.
Technical Documentation Skills: Ability to create, maintain, and review technical documentation related to system installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Experience with Automation Software: Familiarity with automation software tools like Wonderware or Siemens PLC programming for controlling and monitoring safety and security systems.
