NEW DELHI: GUVI, a company incubated by the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras) and Indian Institute of Management (IIM Ahmedabad), has initiated a remarkable program to provide free training to one lakh engineering students in Tamil Nadu.
In collaboration with the ‘Naan Mudhavan’ project led by the state government, GUVI is launching the ‘Naan Mudhalvan-Tamil Nadu Coders Premier League’ (NM-TNcpl). This endeavor spans both online and offline hackathons conducted over a three-month period. It offers a vital platform for engineering students in Tamil Nadu to demonstrate their coding prowess while simultaneously enhancing their skill sets.
Participants in this initiative will gain access to GUVI’s premium courses at no cost. Moreover, those who excel at the initial level will receive valuable mentorship from experts employed by leading companies. GUVI will also identify the highest-performing teams, affording them a stage to showcase their talents in the realm of technology and programming.
GUVI has partnered with two esteemed educational institutions, the KSR Educational Institutions in Tiruchengode and Annapoorana Engineering College in Salem, which will serve as nodal centers for NM-TNcpl. Arun Prakash M, CEO of GUVI, expressed, “NM-TNcpl is a significant milestone in our mission to empower the youth of Tamil Nadu and beyond. Our commitment has always been to make high-quality tech education accessible to everyone, and NM-TNcpl stands as a testament to that dedication.” Importantly, engineering college students from any specialization are encouraged to participate in NM-TNcpl, with the registration link readily available for them.
