IIT Gandhinagar and Deakin University in Australia Forge Academic and Research Collaboration

In a significant step toward fostering global academic collaboration, the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) and Deakin University from Australia have joined hands by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This landmark agreement paves the way for extensive cooperation in research, teaching, and learning, creating a platform for the exchange of knowledge and expertise among students, faculty, and staff members from both institutions.

The official signing of the MoU took place in the presence of distinguished guests, including Jason Clare MP, the Minister for Education in the Government of Australia, and Dharmendra Pradhan, the Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in India. This momentous occasion occurred during the India-Australia bilateral meeting between the Ministers of Education of both nations and the inaugural Australia India Education and Skills Council meeting, held at the esteemed campus of IIT Gandhinagar.

The collaboration between IITGN and Deakin University signifies a commitment to cross-border cooperation for the collective advancement of education and research. The shared vision is to establish contemporary and comprehensive educational and research opportunities, benefiting not only the local community but also the global academic landscape. Professor Rajat Moona, Director of IITGN, expressed his enthusiasm for this partnership, foreseeing a multitude of advantages for students, faculty, and staff members, enhancing their careers and providing invaluable international exposure.
