Hyundai Creta EV

Hyundai Creta EV

Creta Electric is in the making by Hyundai Motor India as an affordable EV, with the considerations of its price against the Ioniq 5. Hyundai will launch the Creta EV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Here are much-known important specifications, features, technologies, and safeties.

Range

Hyundai Creta Electric probably comes with two powertrain options. The first is a 42kWh battery pack destined to promise a range of 390km, whereas the second is a 51.4kWh battery pack promising a range of 473km. This is in line with both the present and future competition. Important charging times will be 58 minutes when plugged into a DC fast charger and four hours when plugged into Hyundai’s 11kWh AC wall box charger. You get V2L with power sockets both on the inside and outside of the vehicle.

Design

Hyundai has flown all the design cues from the standard Creta for the Creta Electric. Front, Hyundai gives it a flat face, with charge port under logo at Hyundai. It has complemented the flat face with what it has called active aeroflaps and is expected to use these for cooling the battery pack. New tail lamp designs are exactly same as those offered in the ICE model but with bumper closely resembling that of the Creta N-Line. Also, there will be 8 single-tone solid colors for this model: 5 metallic and 3 matte. Of these, ocean blue and atlas white can also be had in dual-tone paint schemes.

Cabinet

Hyundai has redesigned the steering and relocated the drive mode selector to the steering column. True to its tradition, Hyundai is expected to equip the vehicle with features similar to the fully loaded ICE version. This list includes LED light package, smartphone enabled digital key, dual digital displays, 360-degree camera, level-2 ADAS, dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents, connected car technology, ventilated front seats, air purifier, wireless charger and panoramic sunroof.

Safety Features

Creta EV uses an advanced high strength steel and high strength steel structure. It also features SmartSense Level 2 ADAS which has 19 safety features. Also, it has more than 75 safety features, which include 52 standards like 6 airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, electronic parking brakes with auto hold, hill-start assist control, hill descent control, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, child seat anchor and tire pressure monitoring system.

Expected price

The Bharat Mobility Expo is on for 17 January 2025. It will showcase vehicles priced between Rs 22 lakh and Rs 26 lakh. The Creta Electric will enter the competitive D-segment electric SUV market alongside contenders like the Mahindra BE 6, Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, and Maruti e Vitara, all of which will also debut at the Mobility Show. Future rivals include Kia Carens EV, Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, Skoda Kushaq-based EV, and an as-yet-defined Honda Elevate EV.

Hyundai Creta EV is more than a car; it is a whole experience bringing the future of technology, safety and performance onto the road today.
