About the Job
As a Hardware Engineer at Black Box, you will drive the design and development of cutting-edge hardware products from concept to manufacturing. Your role will encompass electrical module design, power budget estimation, schematic creation, signal integrity analysis, and PCB layout design. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and regulatory compliance of the final product while contributing to the company’s mission of delivering high-value technology solutions globally.
Skill(s) required
Mandatory:
- Proficiency in circuit design tools like ORCAD, Altium, or Mentor Graphics.
- Strong knowledge of analog, digital, RF, and power designs.
- Experience with high-speed signal routing and EMI/EMC/ESD validation.
Good to Have:
- Familiarity with embedded programming and CAN Bus systems.
- Knowledge of product certifications (FCC/CE/UL) and environmental compliance standards.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

Other Requirements
Experience:
- Expertise in debugging and diagnosing complex hardware-software issues.
- Hands-on experience in system-level design, development, and validation.

Certifications:
- Familiarity with obtaining regulatory certifications like FCC, CE, UL, etc.
Testing Knowledge:
- Environmental testing as per international standards for dry heat, humidity, vibration, and impact.
- Electrical validation and safety tests, including EMI, EMC, and ESD.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative approach to hardware design challenges.
- Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with CMMI documentation standards.
- Embedded programming knowledge for hardware integration.
- Familiarity with CAN Bus systems and safety-critical designs.
