Graduate Engineer Trainee
About the internship
The intern would report to engineering leader, and undertake assignments on projects and initiatives. A mentor would be assigned from within the engineering team, and the intern would be expected to work closely with the assigned mentor to complete assignments.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
The intern (chemical engineering) under Industrial Software COE will:
- Undergo training on technology and products offered by Industrial Software CoE. Some of the training would be self paced computer based training.
- Assist the assigned mentor on completion of project work or initiatives and activities the mentor assigns
- Report progress on periodic basis to mentor at Emerson as well as mentor assigned by the educational institute
- Work with mentor assigned by educational institute to complete all academic requirements
Skill(s) required
- Ability to read, write and speak with fluency in English
- Ability to work with a team towards successful delivery of project or initiative
- Ability to read P&IDs, PFDs
- Ability to work with proficiency with MS Office applications including MS Word, MS Excel , MS PowerPoint and Visio
- Ability and willingness to undergo technical as well as soft skills training as assigned by mentors
- Knowledge of fundamentals of unit operations and process, process equipment design, numerical analysis methods and industrial stoichiometry
- Experience in Microsoft Excel VBA Macro Development and/or Microsoft Access

- 0 years Experience. Candidates must have cleared all examinations upto VIth semester, and should now be pursuing completion of VIIth or VIIIth semester of B.E/ B.Tech – Chemical Engineering/ Petrochemical/ Polymer/ Petroleum Engineering
