GITAM School of Technology, in collaboration with the Innovation Centre, is elated to unveil the champions of the 2023 G-HACK, GITAM’s signature annual Hackathon. The winners, whose names were revealed this past Friday, hail from a diverse array of engineering institutions located in the vicinity of Hyderabad. This year’s Hackathon proved to be an extraordinary success, unifying the creative minds of hundreds of participants for an intense one-day event held on October 26. The event received generous sponsorship from prominent organizations including Jamboree, Red Bull, and Sandeep Technologies, and the collective innovation and prowess of the participating teams were brilliantly showcased.
A total of 21 dynamic teams, representing prestigious institutions such as CMR Engineering College, MGIT, Pallavi Engineering College, Keshav Memorial Engineering College, and IIT Hyderabad, vied for supremacy in the Hackathon. An eminent panel of judges meticulously assessed the projects, meticulously grading them on factors including user interface, functionality, and level of complexity. “The G-HACK is a crucible for curiosity and an incubator for innovation,” emphasized Prof. P. Trinatha Rao, the First Year Coordinator at GITAM, Hyderabad. “We are genuinely proud to witness the extraordinary talent and unwavering dedication exhibited by all the participants.”
The 2023 G-HACK laurels were bestowed upon the following exceptional teams: Team Zeroday, a stellar ensemble comprising Rohan Vudavagandla, Mohammed Sirajuddin, Sai Raj Vadeghar, and Thrayambakeshwara Prasad Punnam from MLRIT Engineering College, emerged triumphant, securing a handsome cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- along with vouchers worth Rs. 3,000. In another stellar showing, Team Tarnishers, represented by the duo B. Tarun and K. Nishma, from GITAM and GRIET, showcased their exceptional skills and creativity to clinch a cash reward of Rs. 6,000/- alongside vouchers worth Rs. 3,000.
The limelight also fell on Team Tarangini Hydro Tech, a cohesive group comprising K. Venkata Sriram, Varshitha Patel, Saathvik Vardhan, Sai Ganesh, A. Pujitha, and G. Pujitha from MGIT Engineering College. Their innovation and dedication were rewarded with a cash prize of Rs. 4,000/- and vouchers worth Rs. 3,000. Furthermore, team Aqua Innovators, a dynamic collective featuring Abhishek Sharma, K. Maneesha, M. Naveen, G. Abhishek, and J. Sneha Madhuri from MGIT Engineering College, secured vouchers worth Rs. 3,000, adding to the celebration of ingenuity. As a testament to the spirit of participation and innovation, all participants were acknowledged with participation certificates, recognizing their dedication and contribution to the vibrant event.
