Security Guidelines to be issued by CBSE to evaluators working from Home.
As CBSE has taken a new road of ‘Evaluation from Home’, due to the lockdown, several concerns are coming up regarding the handling of the answer sheets. To get this corrected the CBSE board will soon provide some security and privacy guidelines to the evaluator, so as to avoid any mishandlings of the answer sheets.
The board will start the evaluation process after the approval is given by the Ministry of Home Affairs to the MHRD. The answer sheets are said to be distributed to the residence of the evaluators from 3000 designated schools. This process to ‘Evaluation from Home’ is said to take around 50 days as 1.5 crores for 173 subjects need to be checked and evaluated.
An Official of CBSE said, “The guidelines on transportation and security are being formulated and it will be released soon.”
The permission for ‘Evaluation from Home’ has been granted to all places except the containment zones.
On the other hand, state boards like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar have already resumed the evaluation process in green zones, and Odisha will also start evaluating from the 20th of May.
Neena Srivastava, secretary, UP Board said, “The evaluators in green zones are allowed to travel to the evaluation centers. They are using their personal transportation and adhering to all sanitation and social distancing norms.” The evaluation process has started in 20 green zones and for the orange zones, the evaluation will commence from 12th May.
60 centers and 6000 more evaluators have been appointed by the Odisha’s Board of Secondary Education (BSE) to access the copies.
