Engineer Internship – Kaleris

About the Internship

They’re hiring super bright engineers to join their Chennai team as they transform how the things they eat, wear, and play with are transported worldwide.

In this position, you will have an opportunity to make major contributions to next generation transportation and logistics software for the marine industry.

You will work together with colleagues to define system requirements and build state-of-the-art software and will collaborate with the existing QA Team.

To assist the larger community of Developers, Quality Engineers, and Product Managers in delivering high quality, innovative applications.

Skills Required

  • Proven object-oriented programming skills with Java and/or C++ preferably
  • Experience with RDBMS and SQL (Oracle, SQLServer, MySQL)
  • Strong knowledge of design patterns / data Structures
  • Strong analytical abilities with debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in programming enterprise or web applications
  • Knowledge of broader Java and JEE stack (e.g JDBC, JMX, JPA, JMS)
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax and various frameworks
  • AppServer experience (Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss)
  • Experience with REST APIs
  • Open source frameworks such as Spring
  • Ability to contribute to Open Source projects
