Students will be given with a well-rounded education by building a team from diverse batches
The Government Engineering College, Wayanad (GECW) in cooperation with Exalture Software Labs, a software business located in Kochi, has created a project dubbed Development and Integration of Students Headway Advancement (Disha) to strengthen practical skills of engineering students.
Disha is a model that shapes the way in which ideal environments are built, paving the way for businesses to set up “parallel squads” in educational institutions so that students can learn about coding standards, project management, quality assurance, and the importance of deadlines, said V.S. Anitha, Principal, GECW. It will protect the students’ advancement and drive, moulding them to understand more about the right etiquette to follow inside the organisation, she stated.
Students will be given with a well-rounded education by assembling a team from diverse batches. This form of training will assist students to obtain a grasp of the work patterns and the culture of a business. In addition, it broadens their practical knowledge by teaching them in using the up-to-date versions of the industry’s standard tools and by incentivising them to participate in a range of real-world jobs and projects, Dr. Anitha stated.
Ingenuity and noteworthy findings from either students or faculty will be followed with lengthy debate and windowing. Once the concept is vetted out, both teams will work together to design a strategy for executing the idea and bringing it to life. When students finish their graduation, they will have a good understanding of the fundamentals of the corporate world, which will guarantee smooth transfer into an organisational workforce, she noted.
