Dindigul Campus Connect: Bridging the Gap Between Students and Opportunities

Vidhyaa Giri College of Arts and Science in Puduvayal celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8. Amudha, owner of Nice Beauty Parlour, Kanadukathan, and Revathy Pathi, owner of Etti’s Lifestyle, Karaikudi, spoke about entrepreneurship. Sri Krishnasamy Arts and Science College in Sattur invited M.Thilagabama, MD of Mathi Integrated Health Centre and writer, as the chief guest for their International Women’s Day celebration. Thamizhachi Thangapandiyan, MP, was the chief guest at G.T.N. Arts College in Dindigul for their Women’s Day celebration. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of women standing up against social evils to maintain the freedom they have fought for.

Career in Navy

The Thassim Beevi Abdul Kader College for Women in Kilakarai organized a career guidance program for women interested in pursuing a career in the Navy. The event featured talks by Lt. Commander Ishani Bhattacharjee, who shared insights on the financial benefits, career potential, and personal growth opportunities available in the Indian Navy, and Lt. D. Murugan, who drew on his extensive 37-year experience in the Navy to offer valuable insights and advice.

Science Day

RVS Group of Institutions in Dindigul recently celebrated National Science Day. The event featured a display of students’ mini and major projects from all departments. The chief guest was Alagan Karuppannan, the founder of Hillsilver Exports in Coimbatore.

Paper Presentation

The Research Forum, Minerva, of the Department of English, Sri Kaliswari College, Sivakasi, organised a research paper presentation on March 9. Divya Sirangi, Soft Skills Trainer and Assistant Professor of English, presented a paper on ‘Empathy: in an eagle’s eye view; concerning violent and psychopathic criminals.’.R. Graduation Day

On March 10, Theni Kammavar Sangam College of Arts and Science celebrated its 10th Graduation Day. The ceremony saw the presence of J. Kumar, Vice Chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University, as the chief guest. Kumar delivered an inspiring speech to the 526 undergraduate and postgraduate graduates in attendance and also distributed their degree certificates. The event was a memorable one for all the graduates and their families.

Sports meet

Sivakasi Lions Playschool organized a sports meet on the junior campus of The Sivakasi Lions Matriculation Higher Secondary School, with the presence of J. Ramesh Kumar as the chief guest. The Principal, M. G. Pandian, and the Primary in charge, B. Mercy, were also present. The children participated in a cultural programme that was presented during the event.

College Day

Syed Ammal Engineering College in Ramanathapuram celebrated its silver jubilee year with a Pattimandram (debate) on March 10. The event was moderated by the famous speaker Solomon Pappaiah. As part of the celebration, Anu and Bharath, who gained fame through the reality show Super Singer, performed a musical programme. The college also held its College Day and Sports Day the next day.

Awards Day

On March 11, Takshashila Vidya Mandir CBSE School in Dindigul held an Awards Day function. The school’s founder and academic director, R. Anitha, presided over the function, and the principal, R. Komagal, offered congratulations. The chief guest was S. Sujatha, the Head of Department for Tamil at GTN Arts College. Students and teachers from Classes I to VIII were recognized and rewarded for their academic performance.
