During a pivotal meeting held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Shimla, the Secretary of Technical Education, Mr Abhishek Jain, announced a transformative initiative for Himachal Pradesh’s Bilaspur Hydro Engineering College. In the esteemed presence of the board of Governors of Government Hydro Engineering College (GHEC), Bilaspur, a groundbreaking decision was reached.
The board, recognizing the paramount importance of technological advancement, wholeheartedly approved a visionary proposal to establish a cutting-edge digital library within the college. This ambitious endeavour is slated to receive a substantial investment of sixty lakh rupees. Furthermore, to bolster the institution’s IT capabilities, an additional allocation of fifty lakh rupees will be dedicated to enhancing the state-of-the-art computer infrastructure.
