Andhra Pradesh: According to a DRDO expert, space sciences provide several chances for engineering students

P.S.R. Srinivasa Sastry, Director of Special Projects at the Defence Research and Development Organization, and Radha Kanth Padhi, Provost of the Indian Institute of Science-Bengaluru, said on Monday that engineering students would have many opportunities in space sciences, an area in which India has been conducting extensive research. On the campus of Centurion University of Technology and Management-Vizianagaram, a seminar on “Space Technology and Opportunities” was held.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sastry said that ISRO and DRDO have been utilising space technology for the country’s defence and development.

G.S.N.Raju, Vice-Chancellor of the University, and Registrar P.S.V. Ramana Rao were among those present. The experts attended another conference at Vizianagaram’s SITAM Engineering College.

Mr. Radha Kanth, who spoke at the event, urged that faculty members use project-based learning approaches. Majji Sasibhusana Rao, Director of SITAM College, said that the contact with eminent scientists will educate the students and inspire them to dream big in their lives.
