Hardware Safety Engineer
About the Job
This role involves ensuring the functional safety of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) in automotive projects. Responsibilities include ECU safety planning, technical safety requirement development, safety analysis (FTA, FMEDA, DFA), and fault injection test evaluations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and prepare safety case reports. The role is ideal for candidates passionate about embedded electronics and safety engineering in the automotive industry
Skill(s) required
Mandatory:
- Strong understanding of functional safety standards (ISO 26262) and safety analysis methods (FTA, FMEDA, FMEA, DFA).
- Experience or knowledge in embedded electronic systems and ECU development.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong communication abilities.
Good to Have:
- Exposure to automotive, aviation, or medical safety-related engineering processes.
- Experience with Fault Injection Testing and safety case documentation.
- Programming knowledge in C or MATLAB/Simulink for embedded systems.
